Indiana Farmer Finds Skeleton of Men Eight Feet Tall
La Grange, Ind. - A prehistoric graveyard has been unearthed on the farm of Solomon Hedrick in Henry County.  a large number of human skeletons have been found, and all are eight feet and more in height.  Hedrick bought the farm some years ago, and covering four acres was a mound thirty feet high, resembling a loaf of bread.  The mound was built of gravel and sand, although the surrounding land is low and shows no trace of either gravel or sand.  A roadway twenty feet in width led up to the top of the mound. When about twelve feet of the surface had been removed the skeletons were found. The bones are large in size and the teeth are highly polished asnd well-preserved. Trinkets, ivory beads, a shiled made of bone, and other articles were found in the4 graves.  hedrick will dig up the entire filed in hopes of finding valuable articles.

Ancient Giant Human Skeleton Discovered in Richmond, Indiana


Burial mound located within the city of Richmond, Indiana. The city also had earthen ceremonial centers and additional burial mounds.

   John Beal, while excavating at Richmond, Indiana, penetrated a grave of human skulls and bones.  The skulls are of gigantic size, and by measurement are thought to have belonged to persons 8 feet tall.

Discovery Made by Workmen Excavating in Indiana
     Anderson, Indiana  Nove 17 - While making excavation last evening workmen opened a cave in the west part of the city.
     It proved to be the tomb of twelve aborigines.  The twelve skeletons were propped in a sitting postion, with their faces toward the wall.
     The bones indicated a race of men larger than the Indians of the present.  The cave is near the famous Indian mounds.
