8 Foot Human Giant Removed from a Lagrange County, Indiana Burial Mound

The Journal Gazette, December 5, 1924
Lagrange, Ind., Dec 26 - A prehistoric graveyard has been unearthed on the farm of Solomon Hedrick.  A large number of skeletons have been found, all more than eight feet in height.  The find was in a mound 30 feet height. When 12 feet of the mound had been removed the skeletons were exposed.  The jaws and teeth are well preserved.  Trinkets, ivory beads and a shield made of bone were in the graves.  For a map of the locations of burial mounds and earthworks in Lagrange County, Indiana  https://adenahopewellmoundbuildersohiovalley.blogspot.com/2011/10/mound-builders-ruins-in-lagrange-county.html

Mass Grave of 3,000 Human Giants Discovered in Ashtabula County, Ohio

Mass Grave of 3,000 Human Giants Discovered in Ashtabula County, Ohio

Near the site of this Giant's Fort was the mass grave yard. These people were slaughtered when the Algonquin Indians invaded from Canada.

Historical Collections of Ohio, Howe, Vol., 1  1847
Ashtabula County Ohio
There were mounds situated in the eastern part of the village of Conneaut and an extensive burying ground near the Presbyterian Church, which appear to have had no connection with the burying places of the Indians. Among the human bones found in the mounds were some belonging to men of gigantic structure. Some of the skulls were of sufficient capacity to admit the head of an ordinary man, and jaw bones that might have been fitted over the face with equal facility; the other bones were proportionately large. The burying ground referred to contained about four acres, and with the exception of a slight angle in conformity with the natural contour of the ground was in the form of an oblong square. It appeared to have been accurately surveyed into lots running from north to south, and exhibited all the order and propriety of arrangement deemed necessary to constitute Christian burial. On the first examination of the ground by the settlers they found it covered with the ordinary forest trees, with an opening near the center containing a single butternut. The graves were distinguished by slight depressions disposed in straight rows and were estimated to number from two to three thousand. On examination in 1800, they were found to contain human bones, invariably blackened by time, which on exposure to the air soon crumbled to dust. Traces of ancient cultivation observed by the first settlers on the lands of the vicinity, although covered with forest, exhibited signs of having once been thrown up into squares and terraces, and laid out into gardens.

Nephilim Giant Graveyard Uncovered in Augusta, Kentucky

Nephilim Giant's Graveyard Uncovered in Augusta, Kentucky

Historical Sketches of Kentucky by Lewis Collins, 1848

"The bottom on which Augusta is situated is a large burying ground of the ancients...They have been found in great numbers, and of all sizes, everywhere between the mouths of Bracken and Locust Creeks, a distance of about a mile and a half. From the cellar under my dwelling, 60 by 70 feet, over a hundred and ten skeletons were taken. I measured them by skulls, and there might have been more, whose skulls had crumbled into dust...The skeletons were of all sizes, from seven feet to infant.
David Kilgour (who was a tall and very large man) passed our village at the time I was excavating my cellar, and we took him down and applied a thigh bone to his. The man, if well-proportioned, must have been 10 to 12 inches taller than Kilgour, and the lower jaw bone would slip on over his, skin and all. Who were they? How came their bones here?

Ancient Giant Human Remains Discovered Along Arizona's Verde Railroad

Ancient Giant Human Remains Discovered Along Arizona's Verde Railroad

The New Sentinel, April 19, 1926
A prehistoric graveyard on Sycamore Creek, where the grade of the Verde railway passes through, has been uncovered by a crew of laborers under the direction of Conductor C.W. Corbin, in performing certain excavations to improve the roadway.
There has thus been revealed a very interesting situation that prevailed at some time or another, in the physical make-up of a race is reflected in the massive remains that have been recovered, and which are indisputable of a giant type of humanity that is bewildering to those of this generation.  The skull of a human is in the possession of Mr. Corbin together with a portion of the frame that would indicate one who in life must have attained a height of at least 8 feet.  The sides of the face have been severed, but when placed in their natural postion, on the head of the living they were so massive as to shield the features like unto a perfect mask.  The bones of the legs likewise are of greater length and heavier than any today.
That a prehistoric burying place has been determined is proven in the finding of a handful of beads, which archaeologists trace to the Toltec period.  These precious ornaments were kept by the Mexican laborors, and cannot be secured.  Mr. Corbin, however, verifies the discovery made, and at the time did not appreciate what their possession meant, else would have secured the lot.
The mammoth skeleton was a duplicate of that discovered some months ago by Peter Marx on Walnut Creek, which the owner retains in his possession
